Eminem Sues Apple for Music Rights; What a Crybaby

’s music publisher and copyright manager, has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Apple, alleging that the company violated copyrights by allowing downloads of Eminem’s songs onto iPods.”
Boo hoo. Eminem is just another idiot in a long stream of idiots who is making millions of dollars in the distribution of copyrighted music, but whose lust for the Benjamins is so strong that it’ll never be enough. So what does he do? Why, what every other “starving artist” does! Sue people who are already paying you money for more money! This is just startling that Apple, even being the DRM fascists they are, can’t even avoid this greed-based persecution. Let’s just hope Apple does what’s right and fights this rather than settling.
This comes at a time when we’ve got more discussion of copyright laws requiring bars and radio stations to pay per-play royalties when the free promotion used to be enough. Because it’s not good enough that society took Marshall Mathers from being a broke idiot from Detroit, and turned him into a rich idiot from Detroit. We have to pay to listen to his filth on the radio and in bars, too.
I say the solution is simple: just don’t play his crap.

I think it’s too bad that a record company only give an artist 10 points for an album sale, and yet they refuse to stop calling people who hate DRM ‘thieves’. Apparently, the difference is about 10 points.
