Racist Idiots of the Day: ImmigrationWatchdog.com
So, I’ve been looking for a story I saw on WCIA 3 news (my local CBS affiliate) about a group of veterans who are bullying a school in which students recited the pledge of allegiance in Spanish. In my searching–I couldn’t find the story itself, sorry–I found many links to ImmigrationWatchdog.com, so I decided to take a peek at their site.
Wow, there’s some nasty racist crap on that site. This site seems to assume that all Hispanics that commit crimes are not legally in the United States. They also seem–at least to me–to imply that all Hispanics are here illegally and are here with the express intent to commit crimes.
I encourage you to take a peek at their site and witness how ignorant these people are. This is a site where a state representative who stopped another representative who ignorantly referred to Hispanics as “illiterate peasants” by bringing the gavel down on him is labelled a “traitor.” Mind you, the racist moron who called Hispanics “illiterate peasants” was not referring to illegal immigrants, but rather was referring to Mexicans in general. The Colorado assembly was considering a bill that would help immigrant workers obtain temporary work visas from the feds in order to help a work shortage that the state was suffering. This was a racist moron making a racist, hate-filled statement. ImmigrationWatchdog.com is passing this jackass Douglas Bruce as some sort of speaker of truth.
This site is simply shameful. Any real issues that exist are best handled by folks other than this group.

Yes Michael, it’s wrong to call them “illiterate peasants”! I’m sure they’re college educated but still want to work in America temporarily.
So, just because someone lacks a college education they’re now worthy of being slammed as illiterate peasants? If I recall correctly, folks usually learn to read long before they would be applying for college.
The peasant part doesn’t really make sense either since I seem to recall that a vast majority of the western hemisphere has abandoned feudalism.
This is a slam that a racist jackass made on people who were being invited to come work in the United States temporarily to address a work shortage. Are all international contractors now considered illiterate peasants? I know several folks from Canada, Europe, and even a couple from Brazil, Columbia, and Mexico who fetch a decent price doing rather skilled work servicing temporary contracts in America.
Nobody is arguing that these folks are illegal, or incapable of performing the jobs that they’ve been invited to do… they’re just making personal attacks on people who just happen to speak a different native language and who have a different skintone.
You can try to sarcastically justify these racist comments all you like, but the truth of the matter is that these comments are way out of line, and ImmigrationWatchdog.com is a racist special interest under the disguise of preventing illegal immigration.
This is a slam that a racist jackass made on people who were being invited to come work in the United States temporarily to address a work shortage.
There is no work shortage, Americans are in need of jobs, do you not live in a city where you see people living on streets begging for the next meal? We have enough starving people in America we don’t need more. This probably includes your friends who were laid off from Google.
They don’t “just happen” to speak a foreign language, there’s nothing else expected of them when they’re from a foreign country. Nobody’s arguing there’s anything wrong with having people who don’t speak English in our country, the alleged racist jackass just said we probably don’t need them because there’s enough lazy Americans today that probably should be at work.
Can you name any organization that’s against illegal imm but not racist? Or is every debate about illegal immigration always racist in your view? Is it wrong for a country to look out for its own people before others? Don’t every other country hold Americans to this standard?
Fact of the matter is, we have enough illiterate peasants (mostly white) in our country we don’t need to import more. Calling somebody an illiterate peasant doesn’t make them disqualified for a job, it only reminds us they’re more of the same people we have here and we don’t need them. Is that wrong?
The fact is that you’re a racist. There is a work shortage in certain areas, and that’s a known fact. You can’t argue it because the municipality that was proposing to sponsor more immigrant workers had already done a study and conclusively found that there was a work shortage.
Whether or not Americans should be at work or not is not the point. If folks don’t want to work, they shouldn’t have to. If they can figure out how to survive without leeching off of others without working, then there really isn’t any problem there.
You and the councilman in question have neither proven that the proposed workers were either illiterate nor have you proven that they are peasants.
No, I can’t name an organization against illegals that isn’t racist, because the immigration policies in this country are inherently racist and isolationist. It is inherently racist to support the immigration laws in this country as they stand today.
There is nothing wrong with a family wanting to move to another country so that they can support their family, and our current laws are designed to keep folks out unless we’ve decided that they’re “desirable.”
I doubt your family would have been allowed to move to the US when they did if the current immigration laws were on the books.
So what you’re saying is that if the world decided today they’d all move in, you’d not say a word. Because any opposition to immigration is racist.
Do we not have enough illiterate peasants in our country that would rather take the jobs?
Let’s have folks sign in at the border, pay taxes, and hold employers accountable. Waiting lists and all that are ridiculous. Our economy can handle freedom.
I don’t think we have any illiterate peasants in our country, and I welcome anybody who wants to come the United States and put in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s wages.
Those who use terms like “illiterate peasants” are idiots. Idiots who I sincerely should be ignored and marginalized as much as possible.
